Task:

Students are to choose one of the following contemporary health issues relevant to the older adult demographic: osteoporosis, cognitive health, constipation, urge incontinence, dehydration, or loneliness. Students are to then create an eposter on this topic. The aim of the e-poster is to raise awareness and prevention behaviours within a group of older adults.

1. critically analyse the concept of healthy ageing and its promotion at an individual and community level;

2. demonstrate advanced knowledge of pathophysiology related to the ageing process; (GA5)

3. implement the Levett-Jones’ Clinical Reasoning Cycle across a range of settings, to plan safe, evidence-based, culturally sensitive, person-centred nursing care for the older adult
