The Constitution and amendments extend to US citizens a set of fundamental personal liberties that we as citizens exercise on a daily basis.  Which specific right do you think was the most important to the creators of these Amendments? (Do not say “the entire 1st Amendment or 6th Amendment, be specific). Over time, how has the relative importance of these rights changed? Which of these rights do you think is the most important today?  Which do you think will be the most important in the future? (Let’s keep our discussion focused on Civil Liberties as opposed to Civil Rights)  Be specific about the way you think that it has emerged/become important and give reference to specific political issues/events/etc that have caused this/these results.
